The Flourish Foundation’s mission is to create awareness and funds to help prevent suicide amongst women in our Northern Virginia communities.
We want to 1)increase access to effective mental health treatment for women 2) help our community learn about early detection and 3) provide safe spaces for open conversation on suicide and suicide prevention.
We use local flowers as a vehicle for starting conversations and safe spaces as well as a way to raise funds for women in our community who need financial assistance accessing the appropriate mental health services.
We are supported and sponsored by Monocacy Valley Cooperative, a local flower cooperative comprised of five female farmers.
